Most of if not all this author’s works have had happy or at least optimistic ends. A lot of his manga have the main character go through a journey, normally a psychological one, with the ending being them moving past their trauma.

I don't think there will be another romantic interest like some of you think. Oshimi Sensei’s more psychological works all have more than 1 romantic interest but they are there more for reflecting the duality of the character. Nearly all of Oshimi Sensei’s works are coming of age stories and one romantic interest usually reflects what the character is right now and the other reflects what they'll be. The mother filled the role for the former and Fukiishi is the latter.

First of all to every Reader here. Seichi is NOT going to be a Psycho. Better yet, he is very sober and clear in mind right now even though he has a lot of scars. He just needs to think this trough and that's why he needs to talk about this. His father is useless for this. And this girl comes at the right time.

You are correct about the two female leads that author loves so much. Here it's mom and Fukiishi. Especially after Flowers of Evil, I have a feeling that author is going to set up the happy ending for these two from here. But I would also be happy if he would subvert my expectations this time. :)
