It's interesting how this series handles loyalty and trust. Shigegi and Ritsu have both tried their best to do everything right and have even gone above and beyond what is expected, but because of a lack of experience or skills they are passed over for better offers/professionals.

I appreciate that the series doesn't make this out to be malicious or a betrayal. it's just a relatable feeling that people would rather be/work with people that are more stable and know what they're doing.

@BCS Nah, I think Masaru just doesn't know how to express himself, or maybe he's afraid to.

I really hope that Masaru bought that stuff from the convenience store because he genuinely cares for Shigechi and not because he's feeling guilty and planning to leave. It could even be that he cares for him and did it for that reason but will leave anyways but anything but a guilt trip pls.
