Chikotan, Kowareru - Vol. 4 Ch. 34 - The relations between the three will…? The climax of the beach arc!!!

Oh man, thank god he ran back. Otherwise that would've been some fucked up asshole shit

@Sqiurmo It's not the title that ruins the order but the volume number, we've only just picked up this series so we have no editing power over chapter 27 - 33 to add the volume number in. I've put a report in to fix it.

@givemersspls feel free to feel like that, this is just the typical tsundere we have been introduced to since... forever. Some love it, some dont. And im usually one of those who dislike this type of characters, but in this case, the alternative isnt appealing enough for me to pick it... so im sticking with neko because its the character i "like the most" out of all the romantic options.

I missed this, thanks for translating.

It sure feels awkward to suddenly read this chapter tho, which is in the middle of an emotional climax. I don't know how to feel (and I don't remember what I used to feel about the characters too).

I'm in the Chiko boat. I can't stand Neko at all, and I'm the kind of weird fuck that still looks back at Zero no Tsukaima with fond nostalgia. Also, it seems really weird to root for the most typical childhood friend archetype when there's a girl with an air of mystery and has been the emotional heart of the story the whole way through. Even if I was fond of Neko, I wouldn't have been compelled by her portrayal in this story.

I'm on Neko boat because of Her big boobs anti-mainstream trope
I hate sudden appereance girl always win vs childhood friend cliche

@givemerssplease
I'm sorry but that's not true, she has only been as much an asshole towards him, as he's been to her as well. Theirs was not a relation ship of "abuse" from only one side. Much like how she teased him for his voice fetish, he also teased her for being a closet otaku. This is not an example of abusive relationship, what this shows is that they are close enough with each other that they can have this kind of exchange without actually hurting the other for real. They are in their own confort zone, no one is being abused here.
I suppose most people wouldn't recognize this because in most countris people actually avoid certain behaviors and words like the plague. But in countries like mine where everyone throws "abuse" at everyone(including family and friends) even in their happiest moods, abuse stops sounding like abuse and it becomes a harmless exchange instead. It's like I always say, words and actions can only be offensive if someone actually gets offended by it.
