I can't say for certain since I don't know the author's intentions, but Nao and Mika both come off as autistic to me. Nao especially since you get to see more of her story. Either way, I'm really enjoying this so far, and I'm definitely looking forward to more.

@nyuula mika seems more ocd-ish to me, as well as having mental problems probably caused by a dysfunctional. household. nao definitely autistic. but this story is so good and fresh, and touches on taboo topics in ways we can understand. beautiful art and awesome manga, especially the splash pages.

@TheOneToRule Mika is implied to also be autistic and non-verbal as a child. When overwhelmed by it she would shut down, go limp and "become all creepy". Her mother would rationalize it as "a demon possessing her", and claim that "she used to be such a bright child", things that parents of autistic children tend to say when in denial of that fact. Mika "breaks through" while in isolation and starts speaking, which her mother thinks means she's "cured", but the way she was mistreated saddled her with a lot of other issues that she's struggling to deal with (also a sadly common thing for autistic people who grew up non-verbal).

This is why when she sees Nao she thinks of maybe talking to her about it, but is too afraid to because to her acquiring verbal skills was part of a tragedy. In the shorter chapters set in the future Nao can speak, but Yui is nowhere to be seen, implying a similar tragedy maybe?

Everyone and everything in the history keep pointing that something happens to Yui
after reading (Child Window Glass) something about the end keep bothering me for a while.
like why she formed of so strong attachment in a day(not a bond but attachment) then i realized what the author have done.

After Mika see Nao in the bus and her mother pick her up telling her they gonna meet with Yui.
we see thru the the window frame that the bus starts moving the author is actually using this as a reference point for passage of time
after that frame we don't know ho much time have really passed but that actually explains mikan words referring to yui

I had this weird moment at the end of the first chapter where I realized I'd pretty much forgotten they were drawn as anthropomorphic animals—partially because the characters and issues at hand are way more real-life and human than most manga even try to be, and partially because processing everything that was going on while reading with the vague/iffy machine translation stuff, I just didn't have enough room in my brain left to pay attention to that. XD
