I kinda like it when stories do this, because people always try to want progress, even if the characters aren't at a point where they're ready for the event. I think that people should generally go at their own pace, and it'll form the best kinda of relationship when both parties feel that they've reached a point where physical intimacy is fine.

This won't lead to sex, but it will lead to character growth and a stronger connection between MC and FMC, and so I'm fine with it.
