Well what a disappointment, the MC did the right thing after noticing that she's pushing herself, but we've already seen that happens in every other manga ever, at this point it comes off just as an easy way to make them go through some kind of character development without
making their relationship go to the next level. I would be more interested in a scenario where following her friend's absurd instructions ends up benefiting their relationship exactly the way it was intended and not in this unexpected (actually expected) way.

To all who asked about LN spoilers about MC's relationship progress:

We are now basically at Volume 1 end and there will be no progress in relationship until end of Volume 4 where he accidently touches her boob in yukata during festival, at first he was super apologistic, but then Hime explained how she was happy and scared for first time because MC finally did assert himself and didn't hold back, afterwards they talked about their relationship progress. Funny enough, other characters that gets introduced with each volume gets more interesting development
