This guy's annoying. "Indifferent protagonist" is a very difficult tone to nail, only Gintoki ever really worked for me, remembering off the top of my head.

In Japanese, it was ひょいっ which is "lift/catch/pop" and can also mean quick movement like popping up quickly. I couldn't really figure out how to put that in English so I went with "poing" which is what I guess quickly popping up might sound like, if it had a sound.

If he was indifferent, he wouldn't have called her honey or tried to play the guess who game with her. He's mostly puzzled why she confessed to him, given his past history and current looks, but an upcoming chapter explains it.
