Choukadou Girl ⅙ - Vol. 2 Ch. 15 - Where Is That Figure Girl From?

Just in case anyone asks "Why does Vernois not know that Nona is married to Haruto when Nona literally calls him her husband in chapter 11?" (and probably other places that I forgot) it ends up that I flubbed the translation a bit because I didn't look far enough ahead. Nona refers to Haruto as "shujin" (my husband), but the term also often means "master" (like "goshujin-sama"), so the explanation is that Vernois assumed Nona meant that Haruto was her master. But since that doesn't make any sense in my translation (and fixing "husband" in chapter 11 into the properly vague but still correct "the head of the house" is too awkward), I'm fudging it and localizing the explanation to Vernois simply not believing it, which is plausible enough for a number of reasons. Just figured I'd let you all know. (And hopefully this doesn't count a spoiler even though it isn't properly explained until a later chapter...)

Edit: In hindsight I think this is totally a moot point, but at least it's a fun Japanese lesson.

The speed of translation for this series is astonishing. Thank you @Denji. Just 1 thing though: Why does Ozma call Haruto "Father" in page 4?
Also I like the in-universe point about a character from an old series being redesigned to fit the "modern" style to the point of becoming near-unrecognisable to fans of the original series. At least Vernois had her official artwork outside of sprite

@GaoMuscle I suspect it's just sort of a tropey, generic line that gets used a lot in media with an older male head of household has just gotten home from work and is dead tired (because of the salaryman trope.)

@GaoMuscle Alhazred23 is correct. It also kind of ties into Nona previously referring to the situation as Haruto "letting himself loose on a business trip," which is apparently another salaryman cliche.

Haha I guess Kusabi is based on Akubi Chan from that old 70's tatsunoko anime Hakushon daimao

I was thinking Shantae, but she's way too young. Hakushon Daimao looks like it, thank you!
