1. I am ok with this sort of add.
2. If Solo Leveling is the cause for all this, or at least the biggest 'troublemaker', how about a permanent ad section on its page? It's just an ideea.
3. Thank you for everything you are doing. This site literally helps me go through those chaotic days

Dang banning Solo Levelings a tough choice but why ban Isekai? Also Plykia should become an egirl twitch streamer, you know, for the sites survival. Merry Christmas and happy holidays btw

I probably should have boiled down my previous post to a more simple question:

If there's a banner for an ad why isn't there a banner for a cryptocurrency donate page?

Thank you for all the hard work guys n girls n anything in between.
I welcome ads only from mangadex.

But why do you accept donations in crypto? I find it confusing and don't even know where to start with it, probably a lot of people feel the same way or just find it inconvenient. No wonder there are problems with donations.

I hardly noticed the ad! Thanks for your hard work, guys. I don’t mind ad at all, as long as it’s non-intrusive and not flashing like crazy lol.

maybe cause you aren't logged in?

But heres also the link of said support site:

According to some studies a simple, just 1 full screen picture, that can be skipped by going to the next picture (Not a link mind you!) add every ~25 pages of content is ok and does not impact reading quality.

P.S.
You can also do that and also just have multiple types of adds hidden all over the website.

P.P.S.
Please keep both solo leveling and isekai.

either way, bandwidth isn't even the issue. We have plenty and more to go around. Handling database load and API requests is just a matter of scaling to handle the volume of requests and optimizing db calls

so it's db calls that's the problem?

cache every page you can. Only update cache on page update.

isn't just the simplest solution that its not user access but front loaded forced data from this site towards users that is causing servers to cost more? if u can access this site with proper filters after login (country of origin), that would half or severely decrease logged in users from using ur site and the amount of data forced upon them from ur servers and lessen expensiveness? seems simple solutions for less data load from users and costs is more about as u said were chinese forced first so the excessive data and loads to our servers is to great even though u could allow user filters to lessen cost and burdens for your site by allowing users country of origin filters so it doesn't load and use data and server access for ur overcost server instead of socialist liberal chinese first, we must obey r Chinese overlords with forcing chinese content to users and now saying we are intro chinese ads cause of costs...seems admin is just money/politically making excuses for users..

I was never really bothered by small ads like that, as long as they aren't annoying and keep the best manga site up I'm all for it.

Few suggestions tough, couldn't you just limit access to new chapters for unregistered users, this would probably reduce the amount of requests on new chapters, also ads for unregistered users plus a setting to enable it for registered user who wanna show supported - I would activate it instantly.

PS please don't ban isekai or sl - I love them both so much

Only ever have mobile ads.
Fuck phoneposters, purposefully gimping themselves looking at art on a small screen.

@bigstew00
This is the second time you've pulled this stupid shit.

One month vacation from commenting. Begone.

The reason they accept donations in crypto is that this site is dedicated to piracy, which is generally viewed as a crime, so legitimate services like PayPal aren't inclined to allow them use. Crypto is simply the only viable choice when it comes to funding a basically-illegal website. It's bullshit, but that's life.

My god, I wish there were a pay to pin posts in a thread. We've said this MULTIPLE times but people don't bother to read the thread or the numerous links we've posted to past announcements that explain all of this shit.

I have zero issues with non-intrusive ads, and will gladly turn off adblock to help support MD.
