This is such a juicy backstory. I like how complications keep getting added, yet I still have no idea how we got to the present day scenarios.

Author's story in the epilogue is interesting. I kind of want to know how he ended up going to correspondence school and/or decided to make this manga. Hope I didn't miss an earlier epilogue.
