I mean, her ex told her about how he fucked a bunch of girls in Tokyo and still think she's the best and really expect that she will fall in his arms after such "pure confession"? And this excuses like "I dumped you to earn money for us" - no, dude, you did it for yourself, it was self pity bcs you was broke and don't want her to think about you this way, but you didn't even think for a second that she was with you bcs she didn't care. No, you just cover your ass and ran away. I really hate such an egoist type of characters.
Maybe boy is stupid, but he need no proof of his feelings, and only idiot would think that if they are not dating (yet) he can't care about her and stood by her side. That what "care about" meens, friends or lovers or relatives or co-workers - care about someone is the same in all forms of relationships.

Let's just put it in very simple terms. The ex comes in enticing her (which she looks like she is really susceptible) but he already had his shot and threw it away. The MC is just trying to make sure his senpai doesn't make the literal same mistake again, even tho what he'll do will really breed more problems.

I mean I don't really agree with violence as an answer but the kid's fighting an adult. Logic's definitely something he won't win at.

And hey, we don't see an attack yet actually. He might just be trying to get him separated with his senpai until she cools down and starts to think rationally.

I'm neither a woman nor a successful guitarist, but I would think that there's a bit more to consider (personality, how you are treated, honesty and faithfulness), unless the girl is a mindless groupie.

Frankly, I don't see what's so great about the FMC in the first place.

That a pretty big trauma for anyone to go through in a relationship. And now the dude wants her almost forcefully back to himself...

It's not hard to see why she's just not into it anymore. No matter how successful you are, if you lack the ability to treat your friends or loved ones well, you will end up alone.

None of these characters really developed/became likeable by the end. The MC is someone I couldn't stand being in the same room with for an hour, the rival is a piece of crap simply because if he weren't then it would make no sense for the MC to be chosen, and the girl by the end didn't really show any true personality. Also doing nothing sometimes is what you should do. Out of mangaworld, jumping on a guy who has asked a girl to marry him, without even paying attention about what she wants to do or say doesn't earn you any points.
