I remember reading this ages ago, though similar to another manga called Golem Hearts,
I don't remember if this series was axed early one like Golem Hearts was or if translators simply dropped the project.
The former seems more likely though because there doesn't even seem to be raws for chapter 9 around anywhere so read at your own discretion.
I would recommend reading out of interest, similar to a one-shot publication but with a few extra chapters.

@KinGrove -- I was able to find to 16 with a quick google (Raffmanga), though I didn't read cuz it requires registration. The site indicates it ends at chapter 16, so you're probably right.

Btw, the scanlation was released 4 years ago.
