Normally I see a partial guilt in the partner, when a man or woman cheats on it. Bexause of sexual and attentional neglect. But in this case the wife doesn't tell her husband about it. The lack of communication atempt makes her trash.

That's heavily unlikely, since in this plot she is the main character, the story is told from her point of view. If she would've married him because of the money we would already know it.
