Since the Creep Cat species used to be familiars for magic users, maybe they love and are attracted to being near Flora because being her familiar/pet would give them some sort of benefit to enjoy being in the human world, or extra creepycat powers?

Maybe she herself generates some sort of magic energy for them? She is targeted by a lot of supernatural beings.
