D.Gray-man - Ch. 233 - Saying Goodbye to A.W - The Way of the Three

What is even doing on?
I don´t want to re-read the last 5 chapters every time she releases a new chapter....

@Hoori Apparently it's flashback of Allen's life shown from different viewpoints before Nea Walker takes full control of his body.

Man, while it's nice to finally get some answers it's sad that this series is slowing to a halt and getting the HxH treatment

For those that still don't get it. (I myself I'm kind of like that) We learned in this flashback arc's chapter that:

1. Cross Marian knew form the very beginning who The Millenium Earl was in terms of physical appearance and was keeping tabs on him. How, Why, and When? Who fucking knows???
2. Turns out Mana wasn't Nea, or the 14th or whatever... IT WAS THE FUCKING EARL WHO LOST HIS MEMORIES DUE TO TRAUMA. Welp, shit. Also, apparently the Earl ate Nea... Wha--??
3. Apparently Nea was implanted into "Allen" 30 years ago, so because of that, Marian discards Allen (Red) as a suspect because he's a child. Uuuuuhhhh.... Yeah, about that.... More questions....?
4. Allen (Dog) Is an asshole. No, really.

The only thing I can somewhat grasp is that the earl has severe psychological trauma. He’s shown signs of PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, and schizophrenia. This makes it very hard to follow, especially since there is a supernatural element to it. Is he splitting himself in two, creating false memories, new personas...? What is his goal now?

@Tromend Seems like Nea reincarnated or split off of The Millennium Earl while he was 'down' and went into Allen (the dog) or maybe a bunch of animals near 'Mana' (in non-Millennium Earl form) and then when he found Allen (the boy) he jumped over and that's when Allen (the dog) died.

Man do I miss the days when this manga had consistent releases. I'm somehow still able to follow what's happening, but I can't deny I still feel hazy on things when the releases are so random and far apart.

Someone give me a little heads up, what does Hoshino-sensei has that prevents her from doing this manga in a more consistent pace.

Even if i can grasp and remember the overall plot ( and it is quite good when you put the pieces in place ) the pace of release of this series makes this so much less enjoyable.

@alacaelum

Hoshino-sensei has health problems (sometimes wrist injuries), and after multiple hiatuses the manga has now been moved to a magazine that is released quarterly, so it's being released regularly now for 2 years or so, but it's a long wait.

Oh no. It's Lost Fragment of Snow.

I'm not ready for the feels train. It's coming my way and I can't turn and run from it.

@Tromend maybe I’m just confused but I think The Earl confused who he is Mana or Nea. The Earl has been shown to have some trauma with eating his brother so it’s not too much of a stretch.
Your 3. I think the circus Mana is or was Allen before his awakening as a Noah and named the dog Allen which later is again given to the mc.

I’m mostly trying to piece together everything around the fact that Allen got his cursed eye from Mana. I mean how could that happen if the Mana was the Earl and the Earl was there to bring Mana’s soul....

I see. So Allen's name.. was a dog's name.

@Twi
No. He himself knows that he is Mana. Like Cross Marian said.. Mana forgot that he is the Millennium Earl and he forgot that he ate his brother, Nea.. So he was trying to find where Nea is without his memories that he actually ate him.

In short, He has gone crazy. (Answer to your last pharagraph lol jk)

Actually what @Tromend said was all correct since it was kind of like a summary for those who don't get it.
