Here we had basically two deities (because at the end of the day the MC is one) acting against each other leaving the poor mortals confused. This situation is comparable to a factory and a production line where something might have gone wrong but nobody's sure of it. One boss said stop the line, whereas another boss said keep it running. What are the employees supposed to do, especially when they have a production quota to meet every day.
