Dad Is a Hero, Mom Is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator - Vol. 2 Ch. 7

@mahtan

Which part of doting father is bad? There are many angles to this and I don't know which angle you are talking about.

From a standard viewpoint, doting parents usually pamper their children too much so their children may grow into assholes.

If you are talking about Ellen's reactions, having a cool, awesome, heroic idol-like father act all doting, silly, and boob loving while attempting to rub his non-existent beard on you (even though childrens HATE this) is multiple levels of disappointment.
She is an adult which is why the babying/doting is disappointing. Also why asking her father to get out while she is changing feels normal. Acting cute and childish is fine as long as she showed signs of maturity (e.g stopping mother from burning the mansion down). If I were to regress into an adorable child, I will certainly make use of it to get my way.

" Gwandmother " did that translate from Obaashama ? if so that's CUTE AF

Why i get the feeling that the "thing's" daughter would somehow come back later sometime in the future?

@Nep
So it's wrong of him to show his happiness, got you.
The "she was an adult" part is more about how she acted when going to meet her "grandmother". Nothing wrong in acting like a child, unless we use the same standard she is using to judge her father behaviour, but being all nervous for something that should be usual for an adult is the problem.

It’s a Japanese thing to be worried about the opinions of the mother in law. Origin expresses the western thought that if it is unpleasant you can just avoid for contrast.

How come an old lady within the body of a loli could still get nervous meeting up with her grand mother

It’s stupid though,how can she be tied to politics when her spirit family reside she with the Gods. And she’s supposedly intelligent

@UnknownSaint111 - gods are plenty involved in politics. They have quite a bit of influence, and a whole bunch of mortal retainers willing to abuse that.
In a world where gods actually exist and care about humans, you can expect them to be involved even more. And be somewhat vulnerable to concerns about human population.

Didn't they get the first curse for trying to force the spirits against their will? Are they trying for a double curse?

Maybe it's like being dead. You're already dead, so someone trying to kill you again wouldn't really do anything except desecrate a corpse at best. If the spirits already cursed them, maybe they have nothing left to lose there in terms of becoming cursed.

She was probably a fine researcher, but I'm starting to think every time she needed to present her results to an audience or be in contact with cooperating institutions/funders, she couldn't sleep for days due to stress.
