Dad Is a Hero, Mom Is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator - Vol. 2 Ch. 8

@Serkket
The problem with being extremely well-versed in a subject is that you want to explain it in a tearcherly-sort of way, starting from basic analogies, and working your way up so that advanced understanding is achieved in a short period of time. The less you know about something, the more broad strokes you will be likely to make in its explanation. Basically, the more you know, the easier it is for you to explain something in a simple matter, but with that comes the drive to ensure that others know as well. Having intellectual peers is something that people often take for granted, and it's miserable not having somebody you can just talk to without having to dumb everything down.

A greedy dimwit prince just wants to defy three omnipotent ethereal beings. What could possibly go wrong?

@Kevadu now assume that the curse isn't hereditary, but placed on the ruler of that land. Do you still want to revolt against these "unfit" rulers?

"Nice to meat you! I control the elements! Do you like gold? I'll turn you into a gold statue!"
How I imagine their first meeting to go.

She really need to learn the current knowledge of the world so it would be much easier to tell them her abilities. Also, Molecular manipulation and fusion and splitting of atoms..... Yeah....

People, the guy is king now, not prince. When you're describing your revenge porn you need to use the right terms. And be more descriptive!

@Duainfey - Yeah, they're all caught up now, so it's monthly from here on.

@WhimsiCat

Oh cool, I guess I don't need to hate Albert myself. He seems really care about the Household but forced to work with the royal prince.

yeah, sure, let's mess with LITERALLY THE FUCKING GODS OF OUR WORLD. what could possibly go wrong?

Aaaaand the dude sends a letter to the worst godly being among the 3.

Why do these folks love to try and manipulate beings that can spontaneously combust people like it's Tuesday.

mhh the size of coal doesnt change when it turns into a diamont? though it would be denser...

bro the fact that she can create a nuke, cant wait to see some huge explosions from our mc

@ravidya
He became EVEN MORE interested in Ellen, for being such a clever girl that see through his scheme so much

In fact, because the royal family can't use spirits right now, they're mocked by other countries for it, and if not for dad's connection to Origin, this country might've fallen long ago, this is why the king is so obstinate on trying to keep the dad here

and of course, once words get out about Ellen's existence, there's no way in hell those other countries wouldn't try something, which is part of why the king wanted to pair his children with Ellen first

@Kllick
Read a little more after that

turns out Ellen burned the letter to protect Albert, since now her dad have no solid evidence to Albert's action, only his and Ellen's words
so as a sort of revenge against her dad who used her as bait (he KNEW that the king would try to contact Ellen when she's alone, that's part of why he left her to stay) Ellen did this, along with protecting Albert

So, was going to stop reading too far ahead when the chapter title of the arc's ending caught my attention.
Spirits' Curse

Basically, for whatever happened between where I stopped and this chapter, the now-king? have managed to get Ellen and her dad to have a talk with him.
Then he introduced his two sons.

At which point Ellen suddenly felt sick and turned away. (it's not because they're ugly, fyi)
The king mistook it as her getting bashful.
But when Ellen visibly looked worse, her dad picked her up and say they're leaving.
One of the prince moved closer, about to suggest that a sick person should lie down.

At which point, spooky scary dark mist pop out of all the royals and covered them.
Ellen could hear the voices "HELP, SAVE US" etc.

Dad took her back to spirit world, and mom carried her to bed while dad went back to explain things to the royals (mom basically told him at this point might as well explain it to them)

The tl;dr is, the current royals had no clue on why the spirits did not approach them, and thought that it's simply the spirits disliking them for what their ancestors did

Turns out: It's not that spirits DON'T come close to the royals, they CAN'T
There's souls of fallen spirits haunting the royals, and other spirits get driven mad just by being nearby, so all the spirits stay the hell away.

When the princes showed up, the aura of the 'curse' they inherited was so strong that it made Ellen sick.
On the other hand, when those fallen souls sensed Origin's power within Ellen, they reached out seeking help.
