I mean, I know what's going on, and the political intrigue stuff was simple enough that I didn't think there even needed to be as much of an explanation as we got, but...like...

Just why is this prince talking so confidently? It still feels like he holds no power, leverage, or authority here. I feel like I'm missing something.

Yeah, the art made him look dramatically menacing like a bad guy who got caught red-handed and has nothing more to hide. But knowing the context, it seemed more like he was very frustrated.
