@Chiakoi to give an example of what I mean, a stubborn person will only become more stubborn unless they come to the sudden realization that their stubbornness is hindering themselves. To be specific in this scenario with Zakaraia, her desperateness is what is preventing her from her goal. Yes, she could probably attain a normal life if she went about her new stance casually.

Trying to get hitched with one of her previous students after they found her out is a REALLY CREEPY move on her part. To explain why it is a personality problem, she is lacking the self-awareness to understand why Rufus instantly rejected her proposal. If I had to guess, she'll try hitting on another of her students while thinking the problem was that the student found out first...

...Which undermines the whole aspect of marriage that she is aiming for.
