Dakishimete Tsuide ni Kiss mo - Vol. 1 Ch. 3

I don’t like the main guy at all ... he is gaslighting her all the time.
Wanna be forever with her, but doesn’t wan to commit to her...
even thought he tells her he doesn’t wanna get married and being “honest”, just by dating her he gives her hope... deep down she wishes it will change.
Then telling her not see another guys because that might end the relationship quickly if she meets someone arggg.
I know that kind of talking makes her feel exited, but that’s really manipulative talk.
I’m glad she told him off after the friend put a little sense into her, but that’s just empty on her part.
It’s still early in the story ... lest see where it goes...
A rival seems to have appeared, but I’m not hoping for much. He is indeed hotter than the main guy haha

Black haired lead weakness. It's my bias.

Anyway, I find some irony when Kotarou said he broke up with his previous girlfriend bc she was too "love-centered" which made their priorities different. Which contrasts with him and Asahina, where he is now on the receiving end who just wants to be together in love and because of that have different priorities lmao.

A new challenger has appeared!

I feel badly for Tamako. She feels she has to get married soon, but of course it'd be best to marry someone she was attracted to and in love with. It's a difficult position because she and Takeda are really on different stages in life and this chapter hammers that in. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!

@/everyone The purpose of this chapter is really supposed to highlight the fact that people’s priorities in life do affect relationships even if they have mutual feelings for each other.

I understand the difference in priorities, I just don’t like how he constantly gaslights her and confuses her so she meets his priorities... I usually don’t mind distant guys and such ... but for some reason I just can’t warm up to him.

Younger Guy is a douchebag extraordinaire. Wasn't he the one who promised to "disappear quietly " when FL decides to settle down? How dare he throws a tantrum at her now for doing exactly what she already told him flat out that she'd do! (i.e. find a marriage partner)

He’s so frustrating, he doesn’t wants marriage, no commitment, and YET now she’s trynna find some one else which he said it’s fine but he’s holding her back. Wtf

This reminds me of Totsuzen Desu ga, Ashita Kekkon Shimasu, but... Worse. I love romance but I really hate it when characters give up on what they want because of infatuation.
Love is built, dammit. It needs strong foundation, and these two can't have that unless they drastically change themselves for the other. I don't ship it.

The black haired new dude, tho... I'm already on his team by default.

how can you say "i want you to stay with me forever" and also "i'm not thinking of marriage". I'm glad she told him off, cause he is being selfish.

I’m definitely on board with the new black haired hottie 😍 he seems way more mature than the ML, and more attractive too

My first reaction was that the kid dyed his hair 😂 Her reaction and the face reveal made me think it was the same character, but if he's a new character then she probably knows the guy from somewhere?

Here comes a new challenger!!

Also I get a lot of people's criticisms about the MC. I happen to agree with quite a lot of them in fact. But I do temper myself with the knowledge that he is very young, and that many of us are or were probably as restless and reckless as he is at that age, along with the immaturity. So I'm going to give him the same opportunity we all had or have to try and learn from the experience. Time will tell, though I'm not gonna say no to a little competition from the new guy given their relationship as it currently stands ;)

sis if you dont take him, i will (referring to black haired hottie at the end)

It's true that she's old and he's young but at this point it's not a matter of age but a matter of goals. If you don't have the same goal in a relationship, it'll never work. He keeps on pushing through her selfishly but never wanting to take responsibility of the consequences of his actions. She needs to stop thinking with her emotions and start thinking about if she actually wants to get married or if she's just getting peer pressured to do it.

I think one thing that I'm tired of is people in these mangas not standing up for themselves. I'm 24 and I don't really understand the mindset of having to be married by 30. Women are more than just wives and mothers. I find it so weird that people make it seem like if you're not married by 30. Or you don't have kids yet you're incomplete.. I'm complete with or without a husband.
