Danberu Nan Kiro Moteru? - Vol. 1 Ch. 7 - Cheat Day

cover page : at 1st glance , i thought those things , in her mouth, were used c0nd0ms which are full of $emens , lol , but they are actually packages of frozen milk or something .

Her food advice is the opposite of ketosis for weight loss, you want to reduce your meals per day so you can give time for your insulin levels to dip low enough to go into ketosis.

Keto=unhealthy
Cells consume energy through cellular respiration in the mitochondria THE POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL. Cellular respiration consumes carbs. Going without carbs is dumb because carbs are our main energy source, without carbs you'll be cranky and tired all day, and irritable.
The advice in the Manga is scientifically sound.

Cheat days are killing your gains!

@rollingdice Keto is pretty much soft starvation. It's a fat loss method, not something one should do indefinitely, or even regularly.

I thought the current diet idea was to do all your eating within an 8 hour window, along with a large late morning meal and a small evening meal?

Yeah this advice really isn't good. IF is proven for a reason because science has shown that after many hours of not eating, your body starts burning sugar and fat stores; insulin spiking isn't the problem here. In fact, this type of dieting schedule is CLOSER to what humans are natively evolved to do; constantly snacking throughout the day is exactly the kind of thing that keeps spiking your insulin and never letting your body start to burn fat, which is what makes it hard to lose weight in the first place. This chapter pretty much has it completely backwords which is... yikes.

This is not to say however that the keto diet is on par with IF. While IF is natural and also accepted in pretty much any scientific circles, Keto is definitely a fad with mixed results. It's not bad, but it's not exactly great either, and the more important thing is that for most people it's not sustainable.
