This series can't make up its mind about the gender of these kids, can it? Not to mention the author is having a lot of fun drawing Yuuhi as a girl and then saying he's a boy.

If Phoe is a girl, that makes her the second known female werewolf. That's... significant.

@wilddeath: Given that that wasn't her original name, it's still a valid surprise. The guy who was taking care of her chose to call her that. It could easily have been an attempt to disguise her. Had she actually been the boy people thought she was, making her look and be named like a girl could have helped hide her.

Also keep in mind that right now we have no idea how it's even possible for a girl to be a werewolf. The genes for lycanthropy supposedly only bind to the Y chromosome.

@Madcat6204 I mean yes. Valid point. But I always assumed that Phoe was short for Phoebe and that the character was a female. Even before she was revealed as a werewolf. Plus times change and creatures evolve. Big bro Akira is a prime example of that if we are being honest.

I mean my point about Phoe being short for Phoebe was kind of a big clue to begin with still stands.
