@bastek66 Well, it had an outrageous plot twist at the end of the anime. Worse than Darling in the Franxx's alien invasion. We hoped for the manga to have a different ending, since the anime finished first, but that didn't happen.

Also you said himself that "everyone saw it coming" -> it's not a plotwist.

None of the other teigus were even remotely close to that size, so no matter how varied they were, the last one shouldn't have been the size of three castles.
I said that everyone saw it coming because the anime finished before the manga (were a good amount of speculations about it, but a lot of people also guessed that this was going to space). Everyone here already knows that there is gonna be an alien invasion, does that mean that it's not a plot twist anymore when it happens in the manga?

Anyway, you're going away from the point. They did something in the anime. Fans did not like it. Fans hopes for a different ending in manga. It does not happen. That's why I don't think there's gonna be any difference this time either.

Well, Takahiro wrote both endings and in manga Tatsumi survived (as dragon) and Mein didn't die + woke up from coma. Something big for finale of manga was expected.

Darling ending really wasn’t that bad. Sure it was sad but it followed a premise and also warned us happiness was short lived.
Honestly I was hoping the Manga was gonna blow up and somehow spawn a second season or OVA to somehow give back to the source.

The whole alien thing was actually not bad at all, what's bad was the way they handled pretty much everything from ep16 onwards, starting with Zero Two becoming basically a character-less empty shadow of herself and ending with the nonsensical wedding dress. Aliens are actually a norm since Trigger.
