You know, one of these days, I seriously want a female lead who would actually say “ok then you should kill me then, if you want me dead so badly. I never wanted to be here to begin with” or something along those lines, because these overbearing male leads who think they are above and beyond and have every right to yell at the female leads even though they brought it on themselves and the FL just bear with it is seriously annoying me.

Put those arrogant guys back in their place!!😠
 
@Intekin Oh? And yet he understands the concept of love?? Since he understands love, he definitely understands the concept of family. Loving someone, especially like he did, is the same concept of family.

He's only being an ass because he regrets not going back to her side and protecting her. He's putting all the blame on an innocent child, and says that as her father he has the right to abandon her. He abandons her the day her mother gave her life for her birth, and brings her back 17 years later, tearing her away from the family who raised her, when he feels 'nostalgic'.

In my opinion, him being an elemental king has nothing to do with the way he's treating her.

This is a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow intro into "unexpectedly sweet story of joy"...
 
Did he literally attack his child for not understanding a concept that they were never introduced to, which he knew the weren't educated on, and forget, without apologizing for his actions prior? Did he literally rip his child from their adoptive family just because he felt like it, when he was the one who abandoned the child to begin with? Did he just lash out at and continuously mistreating his child, because of something the mother of the child did?

I don't see this character becoming redeemable in any way physically possible, but maybe the writer of this is a creative mastermind, but if he isn't redeemed in a timely matter and/or grows as a character in the next few chapters, I don't think I could sit and read through this.

There's a romance tag. I sure hope it's not a romance between father and daughter, but this feels like it might be headed there, based off of the whole "cold, 'I hate your very existence but I'm stuck with you', magically powerful, high-status" ML and "confused, 'send me back', normal girl who doesn't know her own powers, tied to the ML like it or not" FL I've seen so often, always turning into them being too close for my personal comfort knowing their first interaction.
