Daybreaking Romance - Ch. 9

This series started off pretty cute, but it has quickly devolved into the typical Korean bullying trash. How very disappointing.

@Flashplayer0CD
ok why tf is he not spinning this nigga jaw cuz like the mc def could beat his fuckin shit in

Typical obedience to well-defined, strick social structure prevalent in Asian countries. You are expected to respect your elders and never criticize or contradict them, no matter what they do. Fortunately, his sister ignores this tradition when it comes to her brother.

@FredFriendly most of my family immigrated from there and its not always the case when it comes to alot of constant disrespect someones bound to get punched no matter the circumstance especially with younger generations going further and further from that era. Idk recently my cousin saw a kid punch a creepy guy in the jaw in kyoto near his apt. Ik what your talkin about and man that shit annoying people needa stand up for themselves not always with violence but still

@Flashplayer0CD @FredFriendly
He said it's because he doesn't want to cause trouble for his noona and doesn't want people to talk shit about the two of them.
His sister doesn't mind, obviously, but i get it. It's overwhelming sometimes.
Even so, he should definitely stand up for himself in any case because they'll keep picking on him otherwise. It's no use brooding over what people will think. People are dumb an stupid, that hardly changes. Sad, but that's the reality.

AHHHH GWANGCHAE~~

But I know that type of person, even with public ridicule he won't see how wrong he is. Instead he'll just blame the victims on how he's being treated by everyone else. 🙄
But seriously, not really smart to start all that again right when he comes back. Good on that girl to tell it to him straight up.

Can someone tell me if this "Asshole Sunbae" thing its really that frecuent in korea?
Because there's always at least one in every single manhwa i've readed.

Jeez this always happens in manhwas, I can't even imagine how tough it is to live in Korea. The seniority thing they have is so infuriating

Not the asian culture & society experts in the comments 💀💀

I’m all for criticizing abusive social dynamics — when the critics know what they’re talking about, by experience or thorough academia. It is painfully obvious when you have neither 😬
