Anyway, thanks a lot for all the effort you're putting into this @Zephyrus & crew! I grew up in the years when visiting an all-text website took at least 5 minutes with the dial up modem, and our printers were ultra-mega-special if they only(!) took the duration of a little walk outdoors to print out one page in colour. So I don't mind it too much, if anything, this slow speed is rather nostalgic.

Odd, there is no limit for free users with cloudflare, though you get better tools for a higher price.

When you are under attack, you can do a 'Under attack mode' by toggling this on the main page for mangadex.org. It will give a challange for visitors. Bit annoying but you can look if It can mitigate a bit of the problems.

A challange for now is acceptable, but this load time isn't

The DDOS is no longer the issue. We are waiting on some maintenance to end on CF's side before we will be able to restore regular service to MD. There's nothing we can do until the 31st.

Honestly not sure whats he's talking about. Maybe he doesn't have adblock? In my experience most scanlation readers are bare bones stuff that gets the job done though some are frustrating to navigate through to get to what series and chapter you want

How about Incapsula as an alternative/backup for Cloudflare?
When setup you can switch your DNS really fast between those two (Incapsula uses simple CNAME rule), in case one goes offline.

@Melnyx They can only ask for donations for legal reasons. Scanlating manga is already a grey area...
