This is why you need a revolutionary movement. Struggles, even if just for reform, can't be won without the masses. Without linking the issues of the masses (workers, pettybourgeoisie possibly, nationally oppressed, gender oppressed, etc) to their issues, and the basic problems of society, they cannot accomplish anything.
