Okay, now that we’re two chapters in I have to admit that this is actually a good use of Deadpool.

Clowning on manga tropes and Jump’s brand (along with doing an actual fucking Matrix reference, my god) is just the kind of thing Deadpool is good for.

@ShimizuA I believe that the author went gung ho on the first chapter but then maybe changed how he wanted to write it but didn't rewrite the first chapter to reflect this style. We also felt the slight difference between the two chapters

I just didn't realize that there are two version/ two group working on this. The other one is more crass. this one is a bit soft in their delivery.

It was definitely a more toned down chapter in general in terms of the language used. We also try not to stray too far from the original Japanese so it limits how vulgar we can be.

I think it's a choice between Localization and Literal Translation. Maybe the way Deadpool speak in japanese is considered crass enough for the japanese, but those crassness didn't translate well to crassness in english (cause Japanese and their passive aggressiveness). Also, Deadpool already has established characterization (although, sometimes marvel do fuck him up) so it'll be a benefit to align the "translated persona" with it.

That's for the TL. Your typesetting / lettering is superb though.

@ShimizuA I think, considering that there is a joke in here about how much JUMP+ let's him get away with saying, it's actually better to translate him as not as sweary since the joke established that if it's too much, it would be censored anyways. But that is up to interpretation, I feel.

I think I stay in this group's version.

I don't mind slower release (not too slow ofc) but better quality and translation accuracy. I don't like rewrite translation which deleting author's original context that cause fans misinterpret the story.
I'm not those majority kids who are too impatient for a beggar that caused anime fansubbing world is crippled and less creative in typesetting.
