Dear Gene - Vol. 1 Ch. 5

👁👄👁 not me being too braindead to figure out what the very last word is (thank u translators)

my wheel of fortune answer is "you are my god" haha

it's too blurred for me to truly read the last line but inferring from the letter in the beginning it's my guess

lmao.... there are actually people who think that they are anonymous, when browsing or clicking on websites.

So we have to pay from now on to read the Manga? I mean, if I could pay for it, I would do it.
Can someone explain it to me?

omg... I can't believe I didn't realize this story is about Theo's brother who left the community! 😨 I hope we get to see Theo and Oz again at the end of the story since they are also headed to New York! SOOOO HAPPPYYY. Please read Prequel "Rumspringa no Joukei" if you haven't yet! :D

Huh, for some reason I thought the prequel got licensed but I guess not...only her post apoc oneshot is...? Guess I'm looking up how to buy from cmoa this weekend...

@Nilopa yes you buy the raws however you want (digitally or physically), and send the people at daddyscans a screenshot of an email receipt (their site has a google doc you fill out with the info) and then they'll give you a link or something to read the rest of this chapter. Volume 2 scans will prob work out the same way.

I've really enjoyed this work, will prob finish the form and make a purchase soon. Story and art (and other aspects lol) have def been memorable

I've been reading scanlations for fifteen years and this is the first time I've ever seen a scanlation group make a direct threat in the middle of the chapter because someone shared their scanlation on the wrong website.

This is disrespectful not only to the readers but to the artist whose name you're dragging through the mud with your petty threats.

Really like the characters, tone and story so far so I decided to buy it! The group gives helpful instructions on how to navigate all the Japanese and it cost me $3 and 5 minutes.

Honestly after all the free content I get from these translators (who do this out of their own goodwill), least I could do is actually support the industry.

Man I wish there was some kind of system for printing small limited runs of translated manga for works like this, like they do limited physical releases for mostly digital games.
I'd be down to pay more to cover the labor costs that selling in bulk would usually handle for a lot of these shorter or more niche stories. If english publishing companies won't even pick up my beloved Yugami-kun has no friends, with its easy and wide appeal, they sure aren't going to print Amish themed BL.
I'll probably grab the japanese volumes, because this is gorgeous, but man, it would be nice to be able to pick it up off my bookshelf on a whim and really read it.

Seriously guys... hahahaha if you only knew where to look and who to follow, the rest of the "smexy scenes" can be found on twitter.. fully translated since last year 😏

I thought yaoi scanlator psychopathy was a thing of the past. You're pirates too, why in the world would you not only lecture on ethics, but make public threats?

I'm broke so I just read it somewhere else, groups threatening people smh

People are unbearable sometime honestly, they don't want this translation to be re-uploaded in other sites because other sites makes profit out of it, literally those site steal the hardwork of the mangaka and the translator to make money. I don't mind the threat honestly, if it can stop people from uploading this series to those site
