Death Note: Never Complete

Not satisfying in the case of one-shot done half-assed, just giving new terror. And new's Light Nagami, Minoru, is not much left an impression.
I'm not saying the collaboration of those authors are bad. Speaking of their old project, Hikaru no Go is one of them, but the ending is acceptable. Their ending version always gives an empty hole and a question mark.

I think ... the first Death Note already has an amazing cover, and maybe I expect more battles but still doesn't eliminate the logic that defeating the inhuman is possible (in a shounen way, you see).

I agree with others, I like it but not that much.

I know it was a oneshot.
i know the author can't possibly put any more intricate development in it.
I know it. . but.

Changing the rule mid game is seriously cheating.

I actually expect a grander ending. . like, a mass death of hundreds of thousand people. It's sooooo logical that it kinda letdown.

🤢🤑😇😍@lenovoaxioo its a oenshot = its just introducing a plot pending for a series.
they are probably going to greenlight only if theres good reception. 😏

Thst was really clever. Pity the rules changed on him in the end, that really was a grandiose plan.

Also, love how mangadex links to the publisher! Even if I prefer mangadex reader, this is fine, too.

@Henshuusha maybe they'll sell it into some volume together with other stuff. There probably won't be any English scanlation of this, now that it's already been officially released.

Damn, this was so good!! I wish the author does more one shots like this.
I feel so bad for minoru dying at the end tho.

@nicetitssenpai in another one-shot when Ryuk gave it to otaku, he cannot handle it, used it for really short-while and suicide, Ryuk wanted longer entertainment, so maybe he looked for someone similar to Light (aka smart guy) in hope he can handle the Death Note's power.

I love this, Near with long hair LOL please do something with that hair... and actually brilliant plan from Minoru.
but unfortunate he's died because the rules changed but... the moment Trump rejecting the book, shouldn't the trade be anulled? it's not a trade money anymore but a wasted money, trade is happen when the condition is met between both parties right? or maybe i was wrong...

@papperless the biggest disappointment is the level of intelligence involved in this oneshot. When i was reading this, i wondered if it was written by the same guy who wrote the original series. It's damn amateur, an average 14 y/o boy can think like this. A BIG DISAPPOITNMENT TO ME<><>

Pretty sure if everyone in any country received that much money overnight the cost of everything would explode to match up and money becomes nearly meaningless, not to mention the complete destruction of international markets at every level and screwing over people in other countries.

Hell that last minute rule change was a huge ass pull.

This one shot wasn't really well thought out.

Also if MC was so great at riddles and foresight, how didn't he see the nebulous death gods screwing him over?

@nicetitssenpai not really, i think it's an interesting take for the author to buy/sell Death Note regardless of the execution (and his plan is quite good as well)

and you shouldn't think that hard for 14y/o kid in this manga to be so close realistically as we see 18y/o mass murderer boy wants to become god.

The new rule change applying retroactively felt really cheap. I know that these are supposed to be asshole death gods but narratively it just feels underwhelming. This being possible also pretty much fucks with any future stories set in this universe, if the author ever tries to do more (and I have a feeling he will, it's still a popular franchise so probably a good cash cow for him)

That was awesome yet sad. A lot happened, yet it was very static. Great sequel
