I can understand manga-only readers not liking this as much. The first arc in the novel was pretty average plus being an adaptation the manga had to cut a lot of corners...

Novel reader here.
I totally couldn't imagine the scene of this series when reading through Arc 1. Those novel illustrations don't help much.
If it wasn't because I was running out of novel to read back then, I might quit really soon.
I don't really like DnD and Harry Porter so maybe that's why I don't like this series too much.

I (personally) thought the Manga is better.
I already have the information from the novel (still in my head).
I can understand the series better now.

Well the siblings are, the MC is an adult in a child’s skin. If this was just fantasy genre I’d agree but given we have an MC with prior knowledge it’s hard to explain away her failings as anything other than bad writing.

Blame the manga for cutting out all the stuff she thought, planned and did. For every error she makes, she does have atl 3 different answers.

She stumbles a plenty, but most ain't the infuriating kind. But more the human error kind.

Though i will fully admit that she is a bit... infuriatingly blind the first arc. But after that one she becomes quite competent.
