There's actually a lot less proper modern-day crime detective manga than I thought. Doubly so for more grounded ones. Grasping at straws a little here.

Soil - Twin Peaks-style detectives
Monster - German weeb detective
Manhole - Anti-worm detectives

These don't really apply as much, but you might still enjoy them.
Getenrou - Worst detective
Yuureitou - Totally-a-man detective
Immortal Hounds - Undying action movie detective
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto - Chinese harem detective
Sanctuary - Not really detectives, but I imagine well up your alley

@pantsman that's probably because proper modern-day crime detective is a lot of leg work and a lot more paperwork, and not a whole lot else.

@PantsMan that's the issue ,monster is my all time favorite, sanctuary is absolute bonkers, but detective kurokechi is something out of my own dreams, something i wanted to write i cant even buy it without going bankrupt
