@HDNeptune i think because raichi by no means a trained pitcher, while he is good at throwing balls it doesn't mean he's a good pitcher. Especially when they're fighting Sankou in an important match like this.

Love the characters in this manga, no one is like a main villain. They all improve and change and swap. Raichi probably needs more than once at bat to know how to deal with that fork looking slider though.
