Him doing this entire backstabbing act was kinda unnessecary and kinda a lot more of a hindrance to the goal this guy has.
Pretty sure that having Cron be an ally would have been far more beneficial than this, as he could be set on the guys the contractor actually wants to suffer.

The biggest problem with Cron is that he is too unstable and unpredictable, but also his single-minded focus on starting a war.
And while not impossible it's going to be a lot harder, in the long run, to take over leadership with him around.
Honestly, I also would have loved to see him take over with Cron around, but I gusse it was not meant to be.
