so This manga is about how dumb main heroine is, I might not have minded if this was the first time that she saw an unedilbe item in the food but she been serving him for a week. Surely she would realize that a professional chef might have a reason for repeativly placing such a item in or atleast ask the chef(granted he would probably just insult her and walk away without explaining)

As an armchair bomb tech it is plasable that certain types of explosives would go dormant if to cold. and example of this is some plastic explosives if frozen wont work. ive worked in comercial kitecns before and they can be and often are below 0 in temperature. So if she spent long enough in the freezer the plastic explosive may not have froze but been cold enough to have a slowed reaction time like a squib. Skin detonates the primer in the bomb and then during the few seconds the collar takes to go off he gets her out of there. so it was stupid but could have technically worked with the right type/ brand of explosive and a cold enough freezer.
