Do old comments get purged?

Sometimes I'll look at an old chapter of something I commented on a while back and it's there anymore.

@nobaka it's quite common for chapter to be removed and reaploaded 'gain.

No comments are purged, but if the chapter gets deleted then the comments will still be associated with the deleted chapter.

huh, i was pretty sure that the chapters I'd commented on hadn't been changed (no different group or anything) but i can buy that, thanks.

If you really want to see the post, and you remember a portion of what you said, try googling for it in this format

username "small quote you remember"  site:mangadex.org/thread

For example, firefish5000 "bath loli" site:mangadex.org/thread

Even if the chapter is deleted, the comment thread remains, so this should still work.
