Does Love Need a Translation App? - Ch. 2

thanks for the translation!
i'm seriously in love with the art style

I liked the art but he looked asian. Yeah. By the way I have the same surname as his, just that it's spanish.

Hmmm if she is going to use that translator app all the time it will cause probably some misunderstandings hahaha

Ah, France. The country of love, the arts, alcoholism, egotistical nationalism, and Catholicism.

Lol that is the least French name ever. The French translation is also majorly off; it reads "I'll be sleeping on the couch today. I'll clean up the room tomorrow." Which, had this truly been the thing he read, would probably lead to him sleeping in her bed instead. WALP

@Kie Haha, I agree. I even considered translating it more like Aaron Petre, or something along those lines... The French translation thing was also brought up during the proofreading phase, but we chose to leave as the author intended.

Basically, I decided while translating that the whole point is for them to overcome their language barrier, and Hadam naively thinks machine translation is the answer. Using an app is always going to be really bad for Korean to French translations though, because the machine has to make an assumption and insert "I" or "I will" into the sentences when no subject is provided. Korean is a language that frequently drops the subject because it's assumed the listener understands what the subject is from the context of the situation, but French can't function that way...

That being said, I don't think it's a stretch that Erin understood that that's not what she meant with some common sense. (':
