@monkey123 It's possible that this author isn't as knowledgeable as that author or they just wanted to cut down on excess information to prevent people from getting bored of the extreme detail. It could also be because they couldn't think of a good way to explain it, as well as show it happening without added more pages which would cost them more time. Tbh, I need to read that series sometime, I've seen people mention it a few times and I think it's in my follows.

Aikido is bullshit, fucking Steven Seagall is an Aikido master. She should have just wrecked her with low kicks and it wouldn't even have been a contest. Hell, if anyone bothered to use proper weight distribution that arm shit would have done nothing.

Yeah, aikido is more like an art. Not really any useful in a real fight. But to honest in a real fight all you need is boxing, jiu jitsu and muay thay. (I guess judo and wrestling have some different techniques as far as takedowns go, but you learn them in a good BJJ academy anyway.) Everything is covered by these techniques in some way.

@JunenHayaindaYoAdNauseam Yeah, most of the time if you see someone using dirty shit like this in a martial arts series they end up getting rolled by the regular martial artist 'cause they were just some two bit no account side villain or something. Seeing the actual lead character do what they gotta do in an unregulated brawl is pretty refreshing.
