If you're frustrated with tropes like the indirect kiss and generally awkward relationships in manga you should probably keep in mind recent surveys have found ~30% of men in their 20's and 30's in Japan have never even dated a woman and ~ 42% of married couples reported not having had sex for over a month. Cultures be different, yo. An indirect kiss is probably farther than a third of the target age demographic in Japan (and probably a much larger portion of the consumer base, the people who actually buy these manga) have ever gone.

At this point, isn't Paisen just scared of the idea of Nagatoro's taunts? When was the last time she genuinely cracked the insult whip? Admittedly Paisen seems to have grown at least a portion of a spine in the recent chapters, so it'd probably be a bit more of a challenge to throw him off guard but COME ON! The manga's name implies bullying! At least try, girl! What kind of sadodere are you??
