I think that Nagatoro has softened up because of Senpai. In the earlier chapters she was a savage to everyone, now she's only mean to Senpai, and not even out of mean-spiritedness, it's just a front for feelings that would be too embarrassing to express in any other way.

I found it hard to take Prez seriously before but now I really can't. At all. Yeah, nude art is a thing and all...but this exhibit is shown to teenagers in high school. Does anyone here honestly think a single student looks at her piece and views it for its artistic value? Especially the boys? Please. Prez has been shown to be very insightful. She knows exactly what she's doing.

Paisen's jealousy when the random dudes were getting bullied (Nagatoro was clearly not into it tho) was adorable. That pout was totally him going "Grr, she's only supposed to do that to me!". Similarly, Nagatoro's jealousy and pout when Paisen was getting attention from the girls for his art was equally as adorable.

On that note, I'm glad to see Paisen's art getting the recognition it deserves.

Looking forward to see how the rest of this arc will unfold.

So far this whole arc has been pretty dissappointing... I was hoping for a tense, full of misunderstandings but nevertheless funny love triangle but then we get... semen demon titty satan prez ._. and after all that super dignified aura she was giving out at the beginning... Also, I don't think I'm very fond of the whole promotional Nekotoro campaign so Paisen could get more attention to his art instead of making it stand out on itself...

There has been some interesting bits though, like this mutual jelousy bits, or actually showing Paisen's art skills and sense, and also people genuinely interested in them; the former being I really appreciate his artistic eye on depicting his love interest in such a fresh and cute way through his art vision.

Anyway, I'll just leave the Lorax to summarize my whole opinion on this Cultural Festival Arc which I'll forever think was kind of a wasted interesting idea:

@scarbug As far as the promotional nekotoro stuff I think it shows Nagatoro considers it a direct threat to her ability to spend time with Senpai. Nagatoro's friends are helping out because they know how much it means to her and they enjoy spending time with Senpai too because they get to tease them both. She clearly doesn't enjoy the role she has to play and is only doing it to support Senpai. It's more emphasis on the fact Nagatoro bullies who she likes and she only bullies Senpai.

I'm not a fan of this arc overall. Nanashi is clearly trying to shake up the status quo while giving some semblance of progression which is fine and he doing OK in that regard. I just don't like tiddies megaton and think she could have been handled better with more emphasis on the setup from the very first chapter in which prez was the MCs love interest in Senpai's manga. Senpai showing that he has moved on from his infatuation and admitting he just respects her talent while Nagatoro seethes at the prospect of an old flame turning up to upset the balance. I was hoping for a Suzuka analog as president of the art club since we got a Yupiel reference so early on. Guess Nanashi felt he needed a physical polar opposite of Nagatoro to be the antagonist for this arc. Suzuka would have been more of the same. Can't win 'em all I suppose.

All that said, I miss the bullying. Sans bullying, at least we are getting character growth.

@Blueberry_McFuckerson Nanashi absolutely has an exhibition fetish so it's not out of the realm of possibility.
