Aaaaaah these sweet children, I can't even.

This mini-arc went about as expected, but they skipped the fight altogether and just made it essentially Ash picking up a new friend. Her being welcomed into the group(family) with open arms is wholesome as well. All in all, I like how snappy they made the unimportant parts while focusing on the sweet human element.

Also Ash being more concerned about human life than being resented is nice too. It doesn't come up as often as I'd expect with obscenely physically powerful characters.
