@eng1 that would depend on the situation, sure he's not hiding, but from what I saw there were more than a few different guards around the festival, plus, given the whole magic world thing, there's probably protections against poison or ranged assassination attempts that a crown price would have ready access to and there's clearly healing magic. or he could be one of those semi-rare royalty types that his subjects actually like (not saying he has no enemies, but if his subjects like him enough, killing him in public becomes that much harder to pull off/get away with).
