This was a extremely good chapter.
It was hilarious with all the others who mimicked marcille actions, then sad with Marcille cried, ominous with the Lion, and heartwarming with Laius x Marcille (otp ?).

Dungeon Meshi would already make for a good anime, and this chapter in particular is just begging to be animated. Let's just hope it's given sufficient budget, as and when...

So, now that the lion seems to be targeting Marcille I suppose, barring intervention by the Canaries, she'll be hollowed out the same as the Captain was (if she's lucky). Since, of course, they'll need to eat the lion, could that eventually happen as a way for her to regain her emotional core and undo the curse? Sort of to take back her own vital essence? I hope it doesn't come to that, but I'm sure much insanity awaits our intrepid adventurers.

What an amazing chapter. I laughed out loud at the rabbit-dodging dance. Poor Izutsumi did her best and then was OHKOed by shock at the rabbit zombie cult. And then!!! Marcille!! And the lion!!! Instead of a monkey's claw it's a lion's paw wish?

Is this one of the best manga ever for both comedy and tragedy or what.

I always tear up a little at the emotional Laius and Marcille moments.
I'm not even sure I exactly ship them or anything, I just find them to play off of each other in the most interesting way.
Almost a more dramatic Luffy and Nami vibe.
Could be shipped, fine if they ain't, fine they are. Either way, as long as they keep adventuring and picking each other up when the chips are down.
