For those that have the impression this story changed alot..
I suggest rereading the first chapter, if anything he's honestly more friendly now compared to then.
And about reaching that fountain to go to heaven, first chapter explained why.
(That fountain cleanses you of all your sins, thus allowing even the worst of the worst to enter heaven.)

This guy has become one of the best protagonist in manga. It's rare to find such a good mc when 95% are about a pathetic beta mc.

In life or death, this dude is a manipulative bastard.

For now, it's still funny to see, but I hope he won't cross the line too far (or I hope he will get some kind of karmic retribution). If a character is too much of a dick, people wont be laughing with him anymore, they will just lost their interest. There's not a lot of people who want to root for a colossal asshole.

@KafukaPalazzo well yeah, I think the whole point of this dungeon and him being saddled with babies to care for is to cause him to undergo character development, but it's not gonna happen overnight and it's still pretty early in the manga. In the mean time, part of his charm is what a bastard he is; he doesn't take the usual route for traversing a dungeon.

It's not like we haven't seen any good come from him; he saved that frog mother and he's protected and cared for (however grudgingly) the babies he's summoned despite them being more of an impediment than anything else.
