Dungeon Reset - Ch. 61

@Leonkristoffer for anyone that lived in the asias rice is a staple food. Also, I don't really see them compliment it as "food for the gods", they compliment it as a nostalgic thing, like having your mom's cooking after being away for so long

So he can make whatever delicious food he wants. But no inconvenience? Do computers with internet connection grow on trees in the dungeon?

@leonkristoffer since rice is the staple food for asian countries plus it completes almost every dish they have. w/o rice, food wouldn't taste the same. also, it could also be because it's become stereotypical reaction for asian characters

@frungy

Ah yes, because the staple food of 'home' when people are thrust far, far away from it into a land where they have to kill each other and things trying to kill them, evoking feelings of when they were last comfortable and safe is bad because of your demanding that Asians long for cheeseburgers or something? They're not westaboos.

@frungy It's probably hard to understand if you didn't grow up in a rice-eating/loving culture, I still remember how happy my parents felt when we found rice in europe. Asians being happy to find a rice dish when they travel is a real thing, though the trope is indeed overused so I can understand why you rolled your eyes.

Twice as good at breaking bones? The boar achievement was way better for fewer kills.
Really wish he had camped out the panthers, though. Wonder what he would have gained from them.

@frungy
I would have agreed with your comment at one point. But I went down to Chinatown here in Vegas and had 'real' tofu and a bunch of other foods that I always thought were pretty bland. They don't taste the same at ALL, lol.

Oh no he has fragile glass bones now ... ( at least is how i understand but with context is the enemy that has glass bones vs him)

Eh, Asian and I still think tofu is bland as shit in most dishes. I think people who praise tofu are full of crap.

But rice though. #1 staple for sure. It's meant to be bland because it's supposed to be the filling point for other food and the texture. You can eat super strong flavoured stuff if you offset it with the blandness of rice and pad it out with the softness. I think the same way about amazingly made bread.

Is this webtoon just gonna turn into Dungeon Meshi at this point? Feel like they've kinda lost sight of the long run.

@lleris if your tofu doesnt have taste, its because you probably didnt add enough sauce to the dish. Although some people eat tofu with little to no flavoring, it can also be used to soak up flavors
@frungy Imagine not having bread as a white person, similarly to asians with rice, its just a part of the culture.
