Yes, he was that kid in the sack. In the laboratory with the gruesome experiments and this weird head guy, that was his former classmate.

Chapter 17 page 7. He's introduced as one of the abducted children. We actually never saw him as an adult so it gets kinda confusing.

For someone so meta, this lady clearly doesn't know shit. This happy ending was pretty good! It is also really good to know the MC isn't a edgy chuuni and the story isn't just about him revenge then he steamrolling everything with big fucking guns like in Arifureta.
