Let's face it, we knew this was coming. The brief bit of the future was dark though with how it was affecting Rebecca. With this power though, plus the Chrono time worm whatever, it looks like time may play a larger role in the story than first considered.
Regardless, I wonder if we'll have a point in the future where Rebecca is constantly having do overs because the future is so harsh that it keeps causing them to fail.

Of course, Cat Leaper is a time leaper. What else could it be??
Also, there's no way the main character stay dead. There will be a way to return him. Now, if Rebecca can use Cat Leaper 100%, then there's a possibility to take Valkryie back from the past before her death.

The most insulting thing about this is just how many things were stacked against Shiki staying dead, and yet Mashima still had the nerve to waste the audience's time overplaying this sap about how sad it is that Shiki is dead and how we're all supposed to be so shocked and still in disbelief. We got a goddamned flash back in this chapter to the last chapter, as if we wouldn't believe that Shiki was actually shot in the face.
