Eiyuu no Musume Toshite Umarekawatta Eiyuu wa Futatabi Eiyuu o Mezasu - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - Resuming Life

It's funny because
that "god" is also a former man reincarnated as a girl~

It seems to cover less material than chapter 0... I guess that was a 'pilot' chapter?

@JaneJeon: even the WN translations are barely any further than chapter 1, and are far behind chapter zero. How do you know that detail?

@Madcat6204 if you've read one of author's other works - Hakai Me no Yuuri - it's a pretty dang obvious cameo. It's a really good WN, btw.

@Madcat6204 whaaaaat?!?!?!?!! But it's SO good... The character and relationship development is amazing, and Yuuri
falling in love with Haster
is super adorb~

So many stories have dirty fighters like Reid look down on proper fighters like Raiel but Reid actually wished he could be like that.

Oh hey, they fixed the pacing. Good for the author.

Why is it always a gender-bender can't the hero start as a female ? I coudn't care less if he was a dude before, it will get awkward after -_-

@dethduck
It's actually a funny story, one that I only learned just recently.

The author of this LN also made another WN called Hakai Me no Yuuri (Yuuri of the Destructive Eyes). In that story,
the MC dies and is given the offer to enter another world. The MC asks for his cheats to be immortality, beauty, agelessness, and the ability to create a harem. Unfortunately, he is reincarnated as a little girl, and her cheats are combined in just a way that makes her irresistible to any man. To the point that they rape her until they die of exhaustion. She eventually combats this by wearing glasses that seal her power.

Obviously, the WN isn't completely translated. But apparently, by the end of it, she becomes so powerful that she becomes a god.
And now you know the rest of the story.

@chendu
How else could we self-insert?

@xyzzy ..... That sound like the biggest pile of hot garbage bullshit I have ever f heard of. Just hearing that makes me not want to read anything the author does.

@xyzzy you're dropping really, really big spoilers for Yuuri there... might wanna spoiler tag it. Also, the WN is almost completely translated, with only a few more chapters to go: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/hakai-me-no-yuuri/

@dethduck and did you notice that she was wearing a collar?

@Chet31 it's actually nowhere near as bad as it sounds...

@xyzzy
What in the actual fuck!?

@JaneJeon
Yup, I noticed and, like if I were see this on someone in real life, I chose to ignore it and pretend I didn't see what I saw.
Some questions are best left unasked, and as I have learned from xyzzy, some things are best left unanswered.

Now, think I'm going to find a corner and re-evaluate my life choices.

@apothem It's simple, really.

It's a "proof of affection" because her husband loves her so much he wants to basically mark her as belonging to him.

It's just the way their relationship is, it's actually really sweet. Also it's consensual (and the feeling is mutual).

@chendu It's probably to easier make this a shoujo-ai story since the MC was a straight guy so then he's naturally still only interested in girls even as a girl.

Also, there is just some weird kind of appeal in gender-bender reincarnation stories that I can't really explain well...

@dethduck and @Chet31: The spoilered events were basically just the author's way to setup the character with a horrifying and traumatic past that affected her for the rest of her life. After the first couple of chapters are finished, the series shifts tone and nothing even remotely like that ever happens again.

...Or so I'm told. I've only read 14 chapters of that WN, because that girl is such a moron I can't stand to see her constantly accidentally killing herself.
