All of this just feels very... weird. I feel like something interesting should be happening, but itstill feels very boring and on top of that makes no sense. Towards the end there was just like 5 pages of text and conclusions and why didn’t they immediately tell anyone important/strong what the elf maid heard? Sigh. I find that all I’m doing is complaining about this series. Its not particularly enjoyable or interesting like I thought it’d be earlier on. Just gonna drop this before I even catch up and save myself some trouble.

Rather than sold as slave, ransoming noble usually paid better. And kidnapping some unknown villager for slave is safer than some noble kid.
